US customers please note that from 29 August 2025 all non-postal, non-book imports (DHL, UPS, DPD, etc.) under $800 coming from the UK will be treated like higher-value shipments and incur a 10% tariff plus handling fee, while imports sent through Royal Mail/USPS will incur a flat per-item duty ($80–$200 per item depending on country of origin) from 29 August 2025 – 28 February 2026. Under the IEEPA trade agreement, books remain exempt from tariffs. From the Independent Publishers Group:
'Books are exempt from duties..., but as with many US trade and tariff measures at the moment there is a lot of uncertainty about the impacts of the change, including around any additional admin, costs and delays. The team at freight forwarding specialist Publiship advise that most book shipments should be unaffected, but there is potential exposure for low value shipments like small samples or advance copies moving under HS code 4901. Without De Minimis or other exclusions, these may be subject to the standard 7.5% Section 301 tariffs after 29 August.'
This should have no impact on customer orders where books are concerned, however non-book items will incur the additional tariff fees.
Hadean Press Limited is IOSS compliant and collects VAT on EU orders. Orders totalling €150.00 or more will be subject to extra VAT, duty, and/or surcharges, which customers will be asked to pay once the parcel reaches their country of residence. Customs fees and import duties are separate from VAT and are not collected during checkout.
Italian customers please note that on 1 January 2026, the Italian Government introduced a €2 customs administration fee for parcels sent for delivery from outside the EU with a value less than or equal to €150. The fee applies to all items, including gifts, but excludes items classified as documents. At present, the fee will be collected directly from the Italian recipient.
Please keep in mind that our trade editions can be found on Amazon and other online sellers, and we invite you to shop with those sellers if it will make things easier for you. On a good day, orders can take up to two weeks to reach some parts of North America, and up to four weeks to reach South America and Australia.
When pre-ordering a book, expect a two-three month wait time for shipping.

Shipping
We use Royal Mail to ship all orders up to 2kg, and DHL for orders above 2kg. Tracking numbers are provided for every shipment.
Terms & Conditions
Be kind: The people who reply to your queries are human beings. Treat them as you would wish to be treated.
Order Fulfilment: Orders are shipped from our facility in West Yorkshire. Please be aware that your order might be first in the queue, or it might be number three-hundred in the queue. Hadean Press is a family-run business. Your patience is always appreciated.
Cancellations: You are free to cancel your order at any time before it ships. Once an order has been shipped, please follow the Returns guidelines below. Purchases of epubs are non-refundable.
Returns: Customers have 30 days in which they may return an order for any reason. The items must be undamaged and in their original packaging (if any). Return shipping is paid for by the customer.
Refunds: We do not offer refunds for our digital editions. Refunds for printed items are processed immediately in cases where the order has not been shipped, or when the returned item has been received. Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method.
Lost shipments: If you believe your order has been lost in the post, please get in touch. Be sure to include your order number in your email. Hadean Press reserves the right to refund rather than reship.
Damages: If your order arrives damaged, please photograph both the unopened box with the damage and label clearly visible, as well as any damaged items, and contact Chris directly at dis@hadeanpress.com. We will require this evidence in order to assist you. Please include your order number in your email.
