Summer 2025 Update

Our summer sale goes live at noon tomorrow, 22 August, and runs through midnight on 5 September. We’re offering 10% off all items in our Books & Journals, Guides to the Underworld, Papaveria Press, and Friends and Other Imprints categories. This discount will be applied automatically at checkout so there is nothing for you to do except pick up those titles you’ve been thinking about.

We have updated our submission guidelines with the addition of a new category. Our imprint Asteria’s Press is currently seeking short stories for a themed anthology and will soon be opening to occult fiction submissions with novellas preferred. Our main body of work will always be non-fiction, but we’d like to grow this imprint so stay tuned.

And finally, you may have noticed that with our latest pre-order release we made the epub available along with the hardcover. We plan to do this with as many titles as possible in the future. You also may have noticed that our publishing this year has been more sporadic than in years past, with fewer titles released. We’re now roughly four books behind schedule, but in the coming months we’re going to make up for that so be prepared for a busy autumn and winter.

The image shown at the top is of three of our forthcoming titles: Learning from Legendary Practitioners: A Necromantic Journey into History, Myth, and the Practice of Magic by Kadmus will open for pre-orders in early September; Cyprianus: St. Cyprian and the Black Book in Scandinavian Folklore by Simone Kotva will open for pre-orders in late September; Especially Dangerous: The Snowshill Collection by Mark Hewitt will open for pre-orders in October. There will also be two other books and one new Guide released by the end of October, and one final book in November or December. All other outstanding books are in production. We’ll send out further updates as they begin shipping.
